Which is why I asked about the OSHA rules. The ones I climbed were not in the US. When we paint or lamp KTNQ, we go non-DA or change pattern to take RF off the tower being worked on.

I actually think Clear Channel does an amazing job with its cluster in Chicago with the exception of turning on AM IBOC on 1690.

The support of the NAB and most major broadcasters (including clear channel) in regards to AM IBOC is very unfortunate for any listeners of marginal or low power AM stations.

Those listeners are stereotyped to be "dx'ers or hobbyists". I prefer to think of them as people that are interested in hearing the programming on those stations. This would typically included people not served by "large broadcasters". Why do these people have to loose their ability to hear these programs because large broadcasters want more RF for free?

The support of AM IBOC by these companies is simply a desire to control more RF to their benefit alone. It is a completely unnecessary and ill conceived product.

Thanks for your replies on this thread. I am done.
