WMC in Memphis drops This, picks up Grit

I was channel surfing this morning and noticed that WMC TV in Memphis has dropped This TV and replaced it with Grit. I don't know why, but the TV Guide on Charter is still showing This's schedule, and Bounce has Grit's schedule.

I watched movies occasionally on This, and will probably watch some on Grit as well. The only thing I'll miss from This are the reruns of The classic Outer Limits on Sunday nights, and The Addams Family, which usually ran at times I couldn't see them anyway. For me Grit will be an occasional stop if they happen to be showing a movie I'm interested in, but not a channel I'll watch regularly. So This being gone is no major loss to me.

And before you ask Avid, I posted this on the Memphis board as well. There's nothing wrong with posting it here until regional TV boards are set up if that happens. :rolleyes:
 
Raycom signed a deal with Grit in the Fall but in some cases they had to wait for the "ThisTV" contract to expire before changing over
Sinclair did the same thing recently. They added Grit to a bunch of their stations on 1/1 (or 12/31). Some areas they had to wait to drop Zuus Country
 
In Nashville, Sinclair stations WZTV added Weathernation to 17.2, ThisTV stays on WUXP 30.2, Zuuz stays on WNAB 58.2 and GritTV was added to 58.3.
 
Here in Oklahoma City, KOKH (Channel 25) added WeatherNation TV on 25.3 KSBI (Channel 52) dropped ThisTV from 52.2 as part of its sale to Griffin and KAUT (Channel 43) added ThisTV on 43.2
 
We have Grit on KHNL 13.3 in Honolulu, but has not been carried on cable yet. Antenna TV is still on 13.2 and Oceanic Time Warner 541. Sister station KGMB has This TV on 5.2 and Oceanic TW 544.

Last weekend I first noticed that local Sinclair-owned WICS (ABC-20.1) Springfield, IL added Grit to 20.3. For at least the time being, they're still carrying Zuus Country on 20.2.

Grit has not yet been added to our local Comcast lineup here in Springfield, however.
