WMCS-AM Milwaukee with a stream

WMCS has just added a stream to its website.

http://www.1290wmcs.com/

From the mid-80s up until a few years ago, WMCS, formerly WMVP, formerly WLZZ-AM was one of the better urban oldies/urban AC stations out there. The station is now talk M-F and in the daytime has some good community-oriented talkshows focused on Milwaukee.

A nice thing is that the old WMCS survives all day Saturday and Sunday where the station continues to run alot of the programming from its music days such as a Blues show, R and B Oldies show and gospel programming.

In other news, Urban AC WTTH Atlantic City now has a stream link on its website but the player doesn't work quite yet. Hopefully soon. http://www.961wtth.com/

Before I moved to Charlotte a few years ago from Milwaukee, WMCS was my station of choice. I enjoyed the talk shows, especially Eric Von, as well as the Saturday music shows. The Saturday Blues Brunch was great, as well as the Saturday Jam Session. I wish we had a community-based station like this here.

Listened to the Saturday music shows this past Saturday on WMCS, still as good as ever! Great that this part of the station survives on the weekend.
