WMDH

I see there is an opening for Mornings. Didn't they just fill that position a few months ago? What's up?

They seem to have an opening for mornings often. Or maybe they are just checking to see who is out there?

There WAS a recently new P.D. If I'm not mistaken, he came from the regional corporate mill in Michigan. He's not on the web site now. Don't know if this is his idea or theirs.

I'm not that familiar with this station's "heritage", but it still scored decently in the area's last book. Don't know any of the people inside., so I can't speak of them.

Once upon a time, this signal was no more than a local stick...doing things almost entirely locally in New Castle. Clearly, it was smart to make a regional stick out of it - and the results are apparently strong - still...isn't this the smallest signal Citadel owns? I'm a bit bewildered why they keep it.

They hang on to it because it performs so well. I'll bet it does better than most of their bigger market stations.

Please keep in mind that the Citadel that owns 'KI and WMDH, etc. isn't the same (at the corporate level) as the group that owns the former ABC stations in NYC, Chicago, etc.

They are different companies (i.e. to keep earning and P/L separate, et cetra).

(P/L = Profit/Loss)

O.K. Educate the ignorant (that would be me).

1) How does this stack up at the corporate level?
2) How well is 'MDH doing? Does anyone REALLY know?

I really hope that's sarcasm. Who is their competition in the market? The Barnyard cluster with Lindell at the helm? Give me a break. Oh, and if you want to get technical, WMDH has fallen dramatically in the last two books... check out the 12+ Arbs on AllAccess (yes, they are up there). Now I'm normally not one to go by 12+ numbers, but for WMDH to have taken a huge sh*t between Fall and Spring is unbelievable.

They had FAR better 12+ numbers when I was there. --- Not because of me, but because of the PD they had. H A D ! ! !

The turnstyle that Paulette Lees has created is rediculous. It's too bad she can't let the programmers be programmers. Not a BAD station to work at if you can handle having to kiss her but and Mike's butt all day.

SALES STAFF is king at WMDH.

Airstaff has ZERO WEIGHT! Less than you would have at CC or Cumulus.
