WMEE Looking for new morning host... again!

Hmmm.. After less than a year the morning host of WMEE is leaving to go back to his previous market. With this change and other 'less than desirable' people entering the picture over there - do you see that the traditional powerhouse is on the verge of falling to second class status when compared to WAJI?

I haven't been a big fan of the WMEE morning shows since the early '90s. While many have been good, they haven't been great. Does anyone remember the name of the couple who did WMEE's morning show in the early '90s? They were great!WMEE changed formats within the past few years. They were CHR; I'm not sure what they are now. Majic 95.1/WAJI changed its format to Hot AC, and despite their slugline "90's, today, and the 80's," it's a good station.WAJI filled the gap that WMEE left when it changed formats. WAJI's "loyal listeners" combined with new listeners from Federated Media's WMEE and the Summit Stations may explain why the "powerhouse" is falling to number two.

When was Scott Dugan doing mornings? I know he went to WMEE from WAZY to do afternoons, but didnt he move to mornings in the late 80's or early 90's?

Kerrigan returns to Dayton at Cox's country station WHKO. I imagine WMEE will wait out the Spring book and either hire a new morning point person if ratings are high, or they'll let Chris and Erica be a duo if ratings are lower. They have a new consultant over there - No more Gary Berkowitz. Here's a rhetorical question for you: Is WAJI's decline related more to their consultant or their PD? RG244

Wmee is sounding great.Fed Med owns FW. The only reason Kerrigan left was that his kids are back in Dayton living with their mother. He got an offer from the number one station in a market. Dayton is twice the size of Fort Wayne. What would you do?

Exactly what Joe Nasty did in '99, headed to Dayton for the
"promised land".....More $$$ More competition and a very
fun market.
