WMEL 1300

Mark, WMEL is alive and well, John Harper is doing some good programming, giving people a good reason to listen. They carry Magic, Gators NASCAR
I even do a show noon to 1pm on Saturdays. The Talk to Me station is still talking

Glad to hear WMEL has "made it" on 1300. That frequency was a neglected throwaway for many years. Good to know it's been kept alive and is once again solvent.

That's very good to hear. I'm very happy to know the station is "alive and kickin'" and doing well. With the property tax sale, I was wondering what affect, if any, this may have had on the station operations. Again, I'm very happy to hear WMEL is "on-the-air".

I see confirmation that it is back on the air, but nothing in the posts so far to show that "is one again solvent". There is a big difference between radiating a signal and generating enough revenue to pay off their debt. Trust me on this! :D

WMEL 1300 and 1300wmel.com are still doing well. WMEL is the only station along the Space Coast that is doing gavel to gavel coverage
of the Casey Anthony trial, including very good commentay from John Harper and Attorney Ernie Chang. WMEL continues is Shuttle Launch
live coverage, and is gearing up for the Hurricane season. WMEL is the proven hurricane coverage experts on the Space Coast. 1300 Launched
the Hurricane Special that featured Bob Lay, Director of Brevard Emergency Management. Program was so important it was repeated the following week. John Harper proves that hard work, dedication and a sense of what is important to the local market can keep people listening,
even against the syndicated talkers... WMEL is up to doing good radio!
