Dollar a holler, maybe? Pay 'MEX for the airtime then try to sell their own ads?

And Dennis DeNapoli with a Sun night 10pm oldies show.He posted on FB awhile back saying they were sold, or found a new transmitter site or renegotiated with the current one, etc So far no official word of a sale or xmtr site move. (Recall that WNTN moved their xmtr to the WJIB stick, changing COL and power to do so).

WOW....how long before it's all oldies all the time? Ok, something is wrong with the schedule......are Jimmy Jay and Jimmy Callahan both going to be doing oldies on Wednesday nite together or should that read Tuesday and Thursday for Callahan?

"Nearer, My God, to Thee" is an oldie.

Well, my heart will go on.
And of course...

Wiki: "The hymn is well known, among other uses, as the alleged last song the band on RMS Titanic played before the ship sank."

i guess if they decide to go oldies, they could fill as many live slots with DJ's who are willing to pay for the airtime, and run automated oldies or a network service like "True Oldies Channel" the rest of the time.

Or, I wonder if they could strike a deal to run the automated oldies programming from 105.9 WMEX-LPFM in Rochester, NH at times? It's programmed by a former PD of WMEX, Boston when it was oldies on 1150 AM in the mid-'80s.

Don't know if that would work because breaks, drop-ins and jingles would have to be customized for both stations, 1510 is commercial while 105.9 is not, and 105.9 has some community service announcements and programming for the Rochester, NH area.

I've also read that the hymn is sung to different tunes here and in the UK, and that the music heard in "Titanic" and other films about the sinking is the American melody and not what the band was playing on April 15, 1912 -- if it was playing "Nearer, My God, to Thee" at all.
