Anyone have a direct phone number of the powers to be at WMEX-FM 106.5? If so, please contact them and find out if they are purposely "smashing" the daylights out of their signal coming out of Farmington (Rochester) to appear, at least on the dial, that they have a stronger then average signal or maybe their x-mitter has cooked itself?

I hope that someone from their operation comes up on-line here and reads this post as they don't seem to be answering phones or emails the past few days.

So much for the myth that "local" (ie: non-corporate) radio is somehow more "in tune" with the community.

Ever thought that maybe the small staff they have is not answering the phone because they are out selling advertising to local businesses so they have a radio station and so that you all have something to talk about?<P ID="signature">______________

Pretty lame excuse if you asked me. How much potential business are they missing by being a total latchkey operation? I can't imagine that 100% of their staff is sales. Even if that was true, ever heard of call-forwarding?

They never seem to have much of a spot load any time I've heard them.

A bit off topic, but they must be trying to sell often considering they have almost all jock work recorded on a generic liner rotation, and cannot afford to do it live. I'd wish they'd start getting live bodies. Too bad they don't get live djs in there for most dayparts.
