If the station does get back on, there are some who wonder if it'll be all oldies with throwback memories of the old 1510. (If he wishes to get the WMEX calls, if, if, if, he has to ask WMEX-LP....) Perry said he plans to do news and sports for the South Shore. MAYBE it'll be like this he wrote for the WATD site:

"WATD is a full service regional radio station, the way some of the old line Boston stations used to be. We offer excellent local and regional news, unmatched live coverage of local breaking stories, live high school sports coverage and we even have our own weatherman based in Hull and an award winning locally produced children’s show. All of our announcers are “Boston Quality” and our music is oriented toward an adult audience."

And who knows, maybe there will be a weekend oldies show or two...anything can happen...though it will take a lot of perserverence to deal with tower site and various other things.

Diplexed? And how many sticks? With 50kw signals from 15~hundred and 15~twenty in their backyard, 15~Ten's night signal will have to be shoehorned.

Buyer Ed Perry has implied in his intentions that he wants the station to cover a smaller area, mainly the south suburbs of Boston and the South Shore. That localized area can be covered even with the adjacents at night with a modest signal.

From what he says he has planned, I wouldn't expect much of a signal in Boston proper or the west and north suburbs, especially at night, unless maybe if he puts the transmitter near the South Shore coastline, some of it may come over the water to Boston proper and the North Shore.
 
In the Valley, Disney's KMIK 15~Eighty (50kw ND-Day, DA-N) was sold, moved and downgraded. They got their 50kw Day, but nights went from 6 sticks and 50kw to 1 stick and 95 watts. Night coverage is good for about 14 miles from the xmttr, but any pause in modulation lets in all kind of co-channel gibberish.
