WMEX

So the big question is if this format change to RadioQ is actually happing or not if L&J Media still own the station, even under the new name.

according to scott fybush, it is happening.. L & J do own it, under the new name, thats been made clear too

What's wrong with sharing the info on the thread? What the news is an exculive? That cat is out of the bag!
so when is the switch?

Actually, this week's newsletter is free for all to read.

But when you do, if you actually read what I wrote, I said it's still not even clear that it *is* happening, never mind when.

All we have so far is a website under construction, and who knows if it's just something built for speculative purposes or not.

And @SomeRadioGuy, there is STILL no prize for posting quickly or prolifically here. Better to post a little less but with more care to comprehension (and spelling) so we don't have to guess what it is you're trying to say, and so you're not guessing at what I wrote.

Fair enough.....

That website is beyond under constrution - it's been live at one point and complete minus the streaming (with up to date podcasts)...plus the facebook page, plus the facebook post in a Provincetown facebook group about the channel, and looking for adverters....sounds more than just speculative...which confuses the whole situation. Plus Larry Justice has hinted at "something going on" not related to this...but i'm not even sure what his stake or invovlement with WMEX is. For that matter, didn't Tyler Nye back out of the sale? Just what the heck is going on over there. And as I've suggesed, there's no way they'd do better than the current .3 they are getting with this new format, unless they are focusing on the streaming/web and the station is just for show. The RadioQ format is the most niche format I've ever heard of...

Atleast True Oldies Channel has a national streaming channel - who's playlist mirrors (with some delay) WMEX...but the lost of a local Oldies/70's channel is sad, really.
