WMFP-TV 62

I too remember toasting with my glass of milk while Hail to the Chief was played! My sister and I were lucky enough to be on Boomtown and she was picked to be the General Storekeeper. I was a big fan of Major Mudd and Bozo. Great memories of the good old days.

My Dad worked for the old ch4 and not only was the cast of boomtown the MC's for the kids Christmas party but every year we would also get the Christmas card from the trailers. It was always the best card! Usually it had a picture of a group of trailers and always in some great scenic Christmas pose. Sometimes wrapped up in lights other-times a small trailer park in bethlehem. But always a great artistic thing of bueaty and not your average Christmas card. Rex Trailer was and is a hell of a guy. And though I have never taken his TV production class in Watertown I have often seen him with a group of his students out at an event and him proudly there watching them tape everything. Every time I pass by that place I always figure those kids are getting one hell of an education from an old pro. Good luck rex and thanks for the memories. I also loved Major Mudd and the nervous 2 but he left us a long time ago. I'll Be Blasting You or IBBY.

I watched Boomtown and Major Mudd !

The guy who was " Uncle Sam" of Uncle Sam and his ragtime band is a friend of mine, and he used to front a band called the Class of 66.

FYI a couple of years ago someone publishes a book about the Boomtown TV show.

and then there is this website for us older folk...
