WMGF and WXXL overnights

so i'm listening to the webstream overnights. . here's what i heard. Crinson and Clover, In The Midnight Hour, Day After Day, Can't Take My eyes Off You, etc. no ID's. when i turned on the OTA feed of WMGF it was I'm a believer by Smashmouth into That's all. Is overnight on the web stream a Soft AC leaving the OTA to be mainstream AC?
I like the Soft AC that is run over the web stream.

Kinda like WXXL running short best of loops of Ryan Seacrest on the webstream (I think the best of needs to be a lot longer and more updated.)
CC uses there premium choice to do stuff like this, is that correct?
 
In continueing to listen to WMGF web stream overnight, it appears its a Soft AC/Oldies hybrid format. no 80's tracks, no disko.
It sounds simular to "Sunny 104.5" WSNI/Philadelphia the second time around. when i say that, i mean the version of the format when it first launched.
 
Several CC AC/Hot AC/Variety Hits stations will actually air one if their Oldies feeds on the IHeartRadio online streams from Mid-5am. Cleveland does it with 106.5 The Lake (a Variety Hits station) which gives its webstream the identical playlist as sister station WMJI from Mid-5a, as that station takes Premium Choice in the overnights. Why they do this, I don't have a clue, as it just limits programming. Hundreds of their classic hits/oldies stations are already airing that exact playlist in overnights, and now hundreds more stations that dont even fit the format join in.
 
At first i thought it was a format flip!
then i thought wow. WMGF is opening there library, putting gold tracks along side Mainstream AC. How cool. Haven't heard that since the Breathe (WBHX) a while ago. sadly, i was wrong.
 
Tonight WMGF's web stream is playing the www.top40-station feed overnights with song ID's showing in the Winamp player . uh say what? now i'm beginning to be curious if this is a different format each overnight ?
 
i just checked out WLTW web stream. same exact top40-station. same thing on WASH-FM too. is this overnight thing across all AC CC stations on the web?

Sure seems like it. I dont think them totaly changing formats on the web like that is helping anybody much.
I did check the OTA signal of WMGF again just to be sure. Business as usual.
 
Okay this top40-station stream is so far on WXXL, WMGF, WFLA, WASH, WLTW, WINR, WIOQ, WDAS-AM. and tha'ts all i've bothered to check. WTH ?
 
wow. so all of these stations are running the top40-station at this time 9 PM on a thursday. wonder wha'ts wrong ? i noticed that WLGX is also doing this. this might wanna be n moved to coast-to-coast. since well while it started out with Orlando, its expanded.
