WMGK cancels "Free Beer and Hot Wings"

WMGK 102.9 FM has canceled the show "Free Beer and Hot wings". I don't know when they made the decision to drop the show but they did. Ray Koob is now on from 7 PM-12 AM Monday-Friday again. The ratings of Free Beer and Hot wings was very, very low in the time period they were on at WMGK. I think the station would be wise to leave the weekday schedule as it is for good in my opinion and don't bring in syndicated programming during the week.

Ray Koob is definatly great....I just don't understand why the morning show is still in place after five years and no ratings success? Sure Debela is a name, but that show has terrible ratings.

It is time bring back Anita to do nights. She did fill in work for a few years and it is great hearing her on radio

I'm not sure where you got your info from, but after the Spring and Summer 07 books were out Debella had the #3 morning show as far as overall listeners, behind P & S (#1) and KYW news (#2).
