This format is done right, and its in house, I was emailing personnel at the station, I told them to add some titles from their real oldies station in North Jersey, but they told me after research they came up with this unique format that has never been tried since the WCAU-FM days under the best PD on the planet, Diamond Jim. I have been listening since their launch Memorial Day 2013. They sound so much better than that soul machine that was the old WOGL. Tommy would not play much British Invasion but he was heavy on Motown and Soul. MGK plays tradgedy songs. Last Kiss and Patches, which OGL would not touch, also, Instrumentals, Sleep Walk, Tequila and Telstar that OGL would not touch, Oh WOW British Invasion tunes Gloria-Them and Its My Life-Animals that Tommy ignored, Garage, Psych and Folk, Somebody to Love-JA, Summer in the City-Spoonful, Hey Little Girl-SOS, Female and Male singles-Gore, Springfield, Avalon and so many other tunes the one-sided soul man Tommy would ignore. Plus no annoying jocks like Levy who blabs and blabs about Motown. He knows more about Pooky than Elvis, so in a nutshell WMGK-HD-2 blows OGL away in every aspect of oldies radio. They also have one of the best HD signals in the area, also with great stereo separation and title and artist. Beat that Tommy boy...
