WMGR Bainbridge Changes Format

Hey FW, bet you noticed that Oldies are HUGE in the smaller markets. It's my best seller with local accounts. It helps to have people who know how to sell it and listeners that are appreciative of good radio. I use Jones here, but I'm a big fan of ABC. In this market I work out of, I really try to super serve the locals since the kids at the agencies have never heard of any station outside the Metro...that's another story.

Well, back to planning the new Local Morning show for my Oldies Station...

Timeless Classics...same local stuff, but really doesn't sound that different to the average listener. I still wonder why on such an older demo station can get Macon State College and Motorcycle spots where some cannot. Those spots I heard sounded geared toward a much younger demo.

Those ads air over WNNG because Gordon Van Mol is one of the best radio ad salesman in the nation....that's why.

Art, there's no denying that about Gordon. He is a good operator and knows that it is not ratings that matter in Warner Robins, it's relationships. If you have been in the business as long as we have, you have to respect fellow broadcasters like that.
