I heard them yesterday when I was in AC, they have added new jingles, "the Jersey Giant" package and many more. I used to listen to them in the 60's with Gary Lane and Walt Cooper, I am sure these are the same recycled jingles. Are they the same jingles they used in the 60's, if not, that is a great outfit that put these new jingles together, they sound like the old time liners. I do think a station like this can succeed in the Philly market with the great blend of Standards and great "OH WOW" tunes. They sure know how to do it right, no one can dispute the variety of oldies they play. The sign of a great oldies station is, you never know what is coming on next, that is WMID, it used to be WCAU-FM with Nettleton. 98.1 is not that kind of station, can we all say "Repitition".

Re: WMID; RALPH VOGEL DIES

The Press of Atlantic City reported that Ralph Vogel, one of the WMID Boss Jocks died June 21st from cancer at age 62. Vogel was at WMID from about '65 to '68, and returned to radio briefly in 1973 as Program Director of WOND. Vogel did 8AM-12Noon, to be replaced by Walt Cooper, when the station dominated.
