WMIT/WFGW to move...

JW...I sent them an email asking that very question about the WFGW towers and transmitter. That particular array is only about 15 years old...it was previously a different pattern with only 3 towers, though I'm not real sure on the differences. Maybe critical hours and nights were the significant change...they are currently 500w night and if memory serves me correctly it was something like 18w before; 19kw CH now and 10kw CH before, maybe?!?!

It will be sad to see the old airport hangar abandoned--that's what was there 50 years ago before WFGW/WMIT, so I am told. Lots of history there.

I wasn't aware WFGW had a nighttime signal. I did the Wikipedia entry because I felt one was needed, but it's very brief. Someone who knows the station should add to what I did.
