WMJI's winning ways

It's been a while, but The Lake no longer airs the Pop Drive national music logs. I assume this is intentional to avoid as much overlap with Majic.

Between the two iHeart national Variety Hits stations, I prefer the mix on Rock Drive. I have only found two stations using it though, Jack FM in Baltimore and The Lake in Greenville, SC. The overwhelming majority of iHeart Variety Hits stations take the Pop Drive playlist.
 
Noticed as of late that The Lake sounds far less like Majic. Of course, their "we play anything" slogan continues to hold true, as their new playlist consists of songs and artists that are not to my liking and I never heard of.
""we play anything". Yeah, so long as it was a hit in the last 20 years. Also, it is very normal to reach a point where you don't want to hear new sounds. This is why Classic Rock and Classic Hits formats are such a safe bet. You can't go wrong with Billy Joel!

I don't know if they use Rock Drive, but Jack FM in Kansas City plays rock:
