Just heard the funniest thing over the weekend. Richmond has a station at 98.7 WMKK. Is the station not aware that it's absolutely clobbered by WKDO all over town? Reminds me of that translator in Etown at 92.9 that gets the same treatment.

What's so funny? It's a 24 watt LPFM whose 60 dBu doesn't even cover Richmond. It can only do so much with what it's licensed for.
Well then don't call it a Richmond station!!!
It's funny because this is a station that claims to be "Richmond Community Radio" but doesn't even contain 10% of Richmond city limits within its 60dBu contour. Nevermind the fact it's an LP station. If they really cared about covering all of Richmond with a usable signal, they would have located their transmitter as close to downtown as possible, even if they have to operate on another frequency. This is why it's funny.
