WMMR signal

I have a question and thought maybe someone out there would know. Why is WMMR's signal so weak inside buildings? I work in King of Prussia and like to listen to Preston & Steve's show but can barely bring it in. Even lower powered stations like WHYY come in fine, but not WMMR. I thought they had the legendary 50,000 watt "Flamethrower"? I emailed WMMR about this, but all I got was "listen online",that will not work because I don't sit in front of a PC.

Next month, my brother will be at the hospital in the ENT department for
a possible evaluation(and maybe) and operation. The hospital will be located
on exit 346A off the Schuylkill Expressway. I'm bringing my Walkman in and
try to hear MMR in the waiting room and see what type of reception I am getting.

I'll post my report after my visit.

WMMR is 16,500 watts from about 800 feet up at One Liberty Place.

Most of the other FM's are in Roxborough. That may be why you have trouble with WMMR in King of Prussia.

It is a bit difficult to get MMR west of the city, especially northwest for that very reason. I live in South Philly, where MMR practically takes over the FM band regardless of what station you're tuned to, yet when I would travel to work in Delaware County, it was a challenge to keep the station tuned without some static, at least on my Walkman.

Weren't they the 29 thousand watt flamethrower back when they were on top of the PSFS bldg?

I guess they're higher up on top of One Liberty, therefore the lower wattage?

I loved listening to Preston and Steve in the morning when I was getting ready for work, but I moved into an apartment building in the middle of Roxborough, and can't get them at all. MMR is the worst signal in the apartment.
