WMMR

....anyone know if WMMR's transmitter is still located atop One Liberty Place? As I recall, they were about the only game in town up there.
Any plans to relocate in light of the new Comcast Tower rapidly approaching its claim to Philly's tallest?
Surely, this would limit MMR's signal?

WMMR (867' HAAT) and 107.9 WRNB (906' HAAT) are high atop One Liberty. Comcast Center will be at 975 feet when its done in the next few years. Will WMMR have to power down (daily) when Comcast Center workers are at an even level with their antenna?

It wasn't that long ago that WMMR was good from the PSFS Building!

How does RNB rate that height, after coming from Bridgeton, I know the reason. Also, I noticed no one mentioned MMR being number four with over a 5.0 rating, I guess that does not matter because in the narrow minds of people ROCK stations are dying and do not achieve those type ratings....

No one really tries to compete with WMMR anymore in Philadelphia. They should have that high of a rating.

MMR's signal isnt going to get weaker is it? i hope not b/c i listen to it in pottsville/cressona area all the time, even though it fades in and out a lot in pottsville but its moderate in cressona and south of there, it just dont go over sharp mountain too well, i hope it'll never get weaker

Well...that comes back to my original question. Anyone know if there has been any construction permit for a new transmitter location?. Or, does anyone know whether having a higher skyscraper 2 blocks north will affect 'MMR's signal?
