From "Inside Radio" today...

Clear Channel says “aloha” to dozens of stations — as it shifts them into a trust.[EDIT]

Stations like WALK-FM on Long Island. Cleveland’s WMMS and WMJI. San Jose’s KUFX. New Orleans’ WRNO, WQUE, WODT and WYLD. Albuquerque’s KTEG, KABQ and KZRR. Charleston, SC’s WALC. Santa Barbara’s KIST, KTYD and KTMS. [EDIT] plus several TV stations.

I believe there are now 52 CC stations in the trust and nearly 100 others. The "write up" in Wikipedia is vague (of course!) Is this soley a temporary move to prep for Clear Channel privatization? Or is there more to it? I see the Dayton stations are included - so why put all the Dayton stations in the trust if only to satisfy the 51% rule? Spinning them all off?
I'm obviously not well versed on this subject - Can anyone shed more light? ??? ???
