WMMS drops Bob & Tom...

I heard on the radio this morning that WMMS is still paying contract on Bob and Tom, from what they said, there are three years left on it (give or take a month). The Bob and Tom Show wanted them to pay the contract in one lump sum, but WMMS was able to work it out so they pay it month by month.

Perhaps that's the reason why they stuck B&T in middays - as an "interim" decision until they can figure out how to coem to a settlement?

All contracts have "outs". I've signed many a syndication contract. Worst case scenario I've ever accepted was a 90 day out. Most agreements I negotiated to 30 day outs for quicker decisions. I can't imagine anyone signing B&T to a long term deal with no favorable "out".

I see your point. I wish that show had podcasts so everyone could listen to what he had to say. It should also be kept in mind that this station was desperate for good ratings during morning drive, if they thought that Bob and Tom were the answer they were looking for, it wouldn't be out of the question for them to do so. With that being said, I don't know if Rover is in "the know" or not.
