Do you people actually sit at home and listen to old promos and airchecks?? That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard, unless you're the one who made them. ???

It's apparent your not in radio. Otherwise you'd get it.

The only reason I could see collecting them is for the "collector value". And if this IS the case, how common is this?

I've collected airchecks for years. You obveously have no ear for radio or are in the biz
. I used to listen to my favorites before my airshift (or my own sometimes) to get psyched up if I wasn't feeling "upbeat" that day.
I've got the entire Buzzard Morning Zoo ballot box stuffing scam on 2 cassettes waiting to be digitized one of these days...maybe some clips could help out?

Requires a subscription. Airchecks are radio history for all to enjoy the talents of yesterday and today. IWhether for pure recreation, to be studied or to steal bits and writing from promos and ID's, airchecks are an invaluable tool.
