wmni makes cuts

This really stinks, I listen to those folks over at 'MNI, and they are very professional. It's also disheartening to hear of a local owner downsizing to make room for higher paid national shows. This is a loss.

It stinks like yesterday's diapers. Yes, everyone was doing a good job but the combination of the listener demos, the format, the AM band and the economics of that combination did them in. I wish Greg, Sue and Dave the best in finding their way to something better.

i heard that they let go of 3 or 4 other people in the building too that day. sounds like some kind of disease going around in this market.

Sad to see Kelly Quinn let go. She was definately under utilized there. Hopefully, she'll resurface soon!

I was hoping the reason I wasn't hearing her voice was because she was on vacation, but looks like this isn't the case. Kelly Quinn is the reason I started listening to TED-FM (was The Eagle back then) and WMNI. Not intentional, but seems I've followed her through the radio spectrum since she worked at WXGT 92X. Who ever grabs her up, certainly will have my ears listening to their station. As for her being under utilized, I agree. When 103.9 became Ted-FM they reduced her to just reading the news. If she lets me know where she ends up, I'll update her bio, could even post her resume if she wants.
