I'll answer that for you...NO. Take WIZF's numbers...then add 2...maybe 3 to that number. I think you'll find that that will be the combined market share for those two stations. Not very impressive...and certainly not worth $23M. Only time will tell...but R1 doesn't have a strong track record overall. If they were planning on launching with Urban AC, they should have just done it and not paid Susquehanna $5M extra to take the intellectual property of Mojo. Mojo's credibility is in the Rhythmic Oldies format and I suspect and believe that R1 was foolish to try to tag the Mojo name onto an Urban AC, which it never was. At best it will not help them a bit. At worst it may well backfire. I don't know what Cumulus is planning to put on 96.5 after The Star vacates that frequency. The only format I see that could possibly make them more money than Mojo is Rhythmic AC. But even that wouldn't have the type of synergy that a Mojo/Warm combo could have. And now Cumulus has opened up Warm to potentially strong AC competition. My opinion is still that this was nothing but a cheap Susquehanna money grab and Cumulus could feel the effects for some time.
