Maybe Edge does not know "crap" about Bluewater's finances but that company went bankrupt in 2010. The same company paid almost 12 million for the stations, and they are now worth around 4 million in today's radio marketplace. This is true not only for these stations, but also for most broadcast stations in general. It is rough going in radio these days.
In 2011 the big biller WBAM lost 31% of it's audience from last survey period Persons 25-54 6AM-12M. Bluewater is the third ranked cluster in Montgomery. The WBAM loss may hurt billings at this critical time in rebuilding Bluewater.
Putting 200K into HD radio is a waste of money...no one is buying HD radio, except in some new cars. Money would be better spend (if Bluewater has 200K cash) on air talent and promotions.
Edge, to see past Bluewater performance, go to FCC.Gov, select AM query, and search WACV.
