WMSJ Sounding really good lately

Positive 89.3 WMSJ in Freeport is beginning to sound really good lately. They've got a new sound and it's beginning to do really well. Looks like they are going not only for the nomination but they want to bring home the Dove award this year. Last year they were in the top 3 stations for a Dove Award.

All their listeners agree, I talked to both of them yesterday!

Yeah, they sound good... not just with their material, but also their signal. This past weekend I heard 'MSJ almost as clear as a local along Route 95 as far south as Peabody, MA (whereas, not too long ago, it was difficult to hear them clearly in Amesbury or in Seabrook).

Speaking of WMSJ... does anyone know the status of their attemps to get a translator in northern MA?

Good and did they talk to you about how you can cut back? Glad you were able to get em. That was a little uncalled for, but hey that's who you are I guess. They are doing a great job and are reaching out and well...something seems to be right. Anyway as far as the translator in MA goes they are hoping that it is up and power is on by November. Currently in the building stage and getting prepared.

Do you know where the Massachusetts translator will be located? I'm presuming somewhere on the North Shore. They could probably get the 93.3 Andover that Greater Media had deleted. We're really becoming the hotbed of Christian Music, we now have a grand total of 1 K-Love affilates (WKMY), and now WMSJ is coming down!

Does anyone know when the station changed the name from Joy 89.3 to Positive 89.3? I was unaware that the name changed at all until I visited the station's site a few days ago.

The station just recently announced the name change although they've had the new logo on the site for the last month to month and a half. Doing some great things over there. I know that Andover is going to be in their new coverage area as well. Keep up the good work Paula, Joe, Chris, Marc, Ken, Margaret, Tim, Pencil and Liz.

Side note....The show this morning was rather funny.

There's someone that works there named Pencil? Now THAT's funny.
