So, if you're CC/CR, who do you go after for the morning gig? Do you go with hat in hand to Tim Boyle and ask him to come back? Or do you try to steal someone from another station? Maybe there's an aging personality on a Top 40 or a sister station that would fill the bill....

Boyle ain't coming back no way. Given his anti-CC column after he left, he's glad he's out. So's Allen from what I read on his website a while back.
They'll pay bare bones for a rip and read in-between so they can get all the spots aired and limp along as usual. No one in a larger market will want to take a gig with 45 minutes of spots and farm news each hour.
Unless they clean up the clock and make room and changes for a real talent, they'll go with someone they can dictate to and won't make waves.

Do name names!There is some sort of schedule shake up as Andy Peterson is moving to 10-11:30am beginning tomrrow (apparently Jan is being dumped from WMT), not sure what will be on in the eveneings. This time of year it's pointless to schedule an evening program given that Wed are for Hawk Talk and Thur and Fri are HS football.
Boyle is sure a nice guy but has he ever pulled any significant ratings? Not that I can recall.
Al Kern a CHR jock???!?!? That may come as a surprise to him.
