WMTW-DT booster on in Maine

It's being reported at another forum that a booster for WMTW-DT (ABC) of Poland Spring, ME just signed on. It's using channel 26 and it's transmitting from atop the Time and Temperature building in downtown Portland. I assume it's meant for those who have trouble with their existing digital signal transmitted from Baldwin, ME on channel 8.

I wish WTNH-DT (ABC) channel 8 of New Haven could do that here in Connecticut. They transmit from Madmere Mountain in Hamden on digital channel 10. It's OK for New Haven County, but can be an issue once you get towards Hartford and elsewhere. For what it's worth, they're the lone VHF digital station in Hartford/New Haven.

WEDN in Norwich (part of the Hartford/New Haven market) is on 9, WEDY in New Haven is on 6.
So they're one of three in the market on VHF.

Oh duh! Silly me! You are indeed correct! I should've said they were the only commercial TV station in Hartford/New Haven on VHF.

Getting back to Portland/Poland Spring, was WMTW-DT the only commercial station there on VHF?

WCSH 6 is on 44, WGME 13 is on 38, WPXT 51 is on 43, WPME 35 is on 35 and WPFO 23 is on 23 so yes WMTW is the only commercial station on VHF in Portland. WMTW 8 was originally 46 but it switched back to 8 after the dtv switchover.
