WMUR Hurricane Telethon today (Thursday)

They're doing a great thing... and they were already over 800-thousand dollars at 8pm, and they're going til midnight... I'm sure they'll easily hit a million dollars.

The final totat was $1,143,257. Incredible for a small state like New Hampshire. I wonder if any of the other Hearst-Argyle stations in New England (WCVB,WPTZ/WNNE, or WMTW) did something similar.

WCVB is supposedly going to be doing it today, although maybe on a smaller scale, but being a bigger station you'd think they could raise even more!

Over 1.1 million in VERY impressive being just New Hamsphire. I think WMUR does a very good job with much that they do.

Hearst-Argyle has done or is doing it across their station group -- KCRA in Sacramento raised $1.5M on Thursday, in 17 hours.
