WMUR News 9 Daybreak- Sean McDonald

New person on Daybreak. Sean McDonald is fantastic. When he was subbing for Erin (??) last summer he really hit it out of the park. WMUR is extremely lucky to have this guy. I can't beleive the quality people this little station has.

I used to watch that quality station when I vacationed in Maine. Even though it was many many years ago, they were even good back then!

I have been critical of them on coverage (too much manchester, too little seacoast). I know Maine News coverage is nearly nonexistant, but that could be because there are a lot of stations in Portland and thereabouts these days.

They are based in Manchester though, and the Manchester/Nashua area is by far the biggest population center. But, some Seacoast news wouldn't go amiss either.

They do have a seacoast bureau, so that region is not entirely forgotten (as it is by Boston broadcasters). As most of the news seems to occur in the Merrimack Valley (where the largest cities - and state capital - are), that is where most reporting comes from.

WMUR does a fine job overall and I've seen Sean McDonald's work. He's a really solid reporter/anchor; keep an eye out for him over the next few years. He's going places.
