WMXL, aka "Mix 94.5" has always had a Hot AC format. Kind of a Hot AC / Adult Hits lean. It's been that way for as long as I can remember
 
I've listened for a long time as well, but don't recall hearing any of those tunes.

You're right.. the format is leaning a little older than it use to! More "adult hits" than HOT A/C now...
 
This may be related to the dumping of Mix 94.1 format in Cincinnati for "Radio 94.1"-obviously the Mix brand is faring better in Lexington, but the move towards Adult Hits will probably ward off someone going with a full blown AH station.

Hmmm. Some interesting adds. I always liked the Marshall Crenshaw song, it was a small national hit in 1982. For what it's worth 94.5 did play it as part of TM Stereo Rock. The Crenshaw song was in the movie "Night Shift" directed by Ron Howard who also directed "Apollo 13" which starred Kevin Bacon.....couldn't resist ;)

it was on allaccess but really who cares?
 
I hear a CC guy from up the road, could be on the way down to Lex...and hell no I'm not Kincaid...i'd prefer my name to not even be uttered in the same breath..That station is a worthless piece of crap...with bad jocks....bad imaging...bad music flow....bad ratings...bad everything..nuff said about that...
 
Sorry about that. seems like a while back you said that you worked for Hot 102 / Cumulus, but I guess not. Must have been someone else
