WMYE FM 91.9 "The Call"

From the News-Press:

New Christian Radio Station Debuts

[T]he station's playlist focuses on aggressive modern rock, emo, alternative and hip-hop music styles - but with a spiritual bent.

I was listening to the station on the way home and heard their traffic report...out of Miami. Come to find out, it's merely one of a few repeaters covering southern Florida (Miami, Key West, Fort Myers, Naples).

The Naples repeater is on 103.3 FM.

LOL.. Those call letters got picked up fast...

I used to work at a cluster in Illinois that had those calls for an oldies station that used Tom Kent's oldies network..

I know alot usually gets said (negatively) about FM repeaters for Christian stations.

The Call is one station however that is most definitely worth listening to. Unfortunately, their *main* signal gets quite crushed in Miami by many a pirate. I am glad to hear they are doing something to get themselves out there above and beyond the flagship.

I'm not Christian or religious, but I enjoy the Christian Hiphop & Dance music this station has to offer. KJ-52 from Cape Coral gets airplay on here. I found this station out a couple weeks ago when I was scanning the dial while home in Lehigh Acres.

Christian stations should have diverse programming instead of playing the safer & softer side 24/7. Good "Call!"
