WMYI - what the heck?

Their music. I've kept it on this past week and they've been going all over the road, literally. They've played a lot of 70s rock (that doesn't fit) and a bunch of 80s pop all week (some that honestly, I've never heard of even on an AC), along with some different 90s songs. Of course in addition to the 2000s/current music also which hasn't really changed. I've been listening all week because I'll admit, I'm finding this interesting and enjoying a lot of the music. It's a different "batch" of new/mostly unfamiliar to the station 80s songs each day, and ones you heard one day are nowhere to be heard anymore. It's like they have a group of, say, 30 new songs to the station each day, pull those, add another 30 the next day, etc. Just a guess number. I will note, much of the stuff they were playing a couple of weeks ago is still there, but it's like they've gone crazy with the music.

What the heck is going on? Has anyone else noticed this? I'll admit, it's interesting, but they are shocking the listeners with these drastic changes. I'd like it if they could get a nice mix and settle with it.

on 92.5 i can hear shania twain and merle haggard. good songs are good songs. it would be difficult for one person to decide what a "good mix" would be for that format.

if it is a good song i doubt they are shocking listeners maybe entertaining them

They're at it again. Heard The Rolling Stones and a good bit of older 70s rock yesterday. Maybe they are brightening the music up for the weekend? I agree that good songs are good songs, but you don't necessarily want to go outside of your format, which they are doing Some of this stuff they are playing is not AC material and some is just...I don't know...never heard it before. What they are doing is interesting, but I wonder if it will help or hurt them, given that their ratings weren't that great in the spring.
