WNAC Still Signs Off Every Night?

Just did a quick scan of their schedule and it appears that WNAC 64 still signs off for awhile every night. Do they turn off their transmitter, or just show their 64.2 weather channel?

That's very odd. According to their web site http://www.foxprovidence.com/subindex/on_air/tv_schedule the 64.1 channel is off the air for half an hour from 4:30 to 5:00 AM. The 64.2 channel is listed as remaining on the air. Half an hour is an odd length to be off the air, and since the 64.2 remains on the air, they can't be doing technical work on the transmitter. Maybe we have finally run out of infomercials! hehe.

There is no 64.2, TitanTV has the listing wrong. (I'll let those who need to know about it on Monday)
64.1 just airs the Pinpoint Weather station during the "off air" time, between programming.
We don't shut the transmitter off.

I guess they figure that every 48 days they save a full days worth of power by turning off the transmitter for a half hour each night. So in a year that adds up to the transmitter being turned off for about 7 days. How much does a weeks worth of power cost? I'm sure its enough to cover someones salary. Is this totally crazed thinking (or) could it actually be why they do it? Number crunching to save a few bucks.

I dont get 64.2.As for WNAC going off the air they air weather late after Still Standing and MY Network shows.I think they found regular times for the Kings world shows they were airing late after "MY".
They should air "MY" live on 64.2 and replay it on 64.1 at the time they doing it.So some of dont have to stay up late for Smackdown.

They really put alot on WNAC's plate.FOX full-time,MY-Network full time but late.King World that was acquired by WLNE.Along with all the news they now have on both stations that needs to be produced.

Again, we don't shut the transmitter off at night John.
