WNAP 1110 AM has gone off the air due to the land that the station sits on being sold for a housing development. This was mentioned on Fybush in the weeks NERW Report.
With Praise moving to HD Radio, and WNAP now online-only, I guess the only urban gospel station on regular Philly radio right now is Reach FM's 97.1 translator blasting all of 10 watts.
I really hate to say it, but is anyone gonna miss WNAP 1110? Also, DXingRadio- we also have 100.7FM Philly's Favor but the signal is really bad as WLEV blasts well into Philly. And there's also WTMR 800AM with a really strong signal all over the Del Valley.
Hate to see a station go off the air, but a 3 tower AM daytimer in 2021, without a FM translator, probably isn't worth rebuilding. It had a pretty tight null to the NW, so if it did come back with a single tower it would probably be under 1,000 watts.
