Will there be any kind of farewell program, or will the station just be shut down unannounced some time this week with Bott taking over on Saturday? I haven't been able to listen over the stream in several months and I won't be back in Nashville before the change happens. Also, is there any live person still working at the station now, or is it all just automated until the end? I still hope someone will be able to record the signoff whenever it happens to be and post it on the web.

It's not hurting NAZ to advertise for the Fish. After all, they'll be gone Jan 1st anyway. Might as well take advertising $ from Salem now and divert listeners from they main competitor, WAY-FM.

I was told that Bott possibly won't take over until Feb., (Possibly because of the setbacks in the request for technical changes?) so we may possibly have a few more weeks with WNAZ on. But I still won't be surprised for it to be where WNAZ is shut down with little or no notice and be off for a period before Bott takes over.
I just hope this turns out to be true. It seems like there has been too much misinformation floating around, and I'm probably guilty of spreading it, although it's been unintentional and I apologize for it.

the engineering exhibits do specify horizontal and no vertical.

Watt Hairston said:Like Al Vecoks said when Vandy wanted to move their sports from AM650 to AM1240 many years ago; "HELL! My hair drier puts out more power than that!"
Vandy stayed on 650 after hearing that analogy....
