WNCI get new guy for nights starting 4/19

Clear Channel top 40 WNCI (107.9) Columbus, Ohio hires Stick “On the Radio” for nights, beginning April 19. Stick was last at co-owned WXXL Orlando where he was Asst. music director and pm driver. He’s also worked at top 40s WHTZ “Z100”New York, WIOQ “Q102” Philadelphia and KZQZ San Francisco.

Is it me or does WNCI seem to have a revolving door with night guys in recent years? Is this one local or tracked from another market?

FYI: AllAccess reports tonight that "Stick" is actually staying put in Orlando and still seeking his next gig.

I've noticed they've had a revolving door of night personalities at 'NCI. I've lost track of them to be honest with you. ::)

a voice tracker...wow wnci... really? a major market chr with more voice tracked nights? compelling radio for sure.
Let's take a look at WNCI's current line-up:
Dave and Jimmy(Yeah, they broadcast out of Columbus, but still they might as well be considered a syndicated show by now since they air on other CC stations).
Ryan Seacrest...SYNDICATED.
Chris Davis...Live and local.
Whomever is in the revolving door at night...SYNDICATED.
Overnights...Voice tracked.
So WNCI only has ONE friggin' live, local personality? That's insane for that huge 175,000 watt signal. Obviously, the days of great LIVE, LOCAL jocks like Mark Dantzer, Andy Clarke, and Joe Boxer on WNCI are long over. :'(

For now, yes. Ty is the night jock right now from WKSC in Chicago. They are hiring a new live & local night guy, and Stick was selected but then turned the offer down. Wonder why? I'm sure there are plenty of jocks who'd love the chance to work for WNCI.

Also Dave & Jimmy's show is syndicated, but only about half of it. When the affills go to spots and music, they continue on for several more minutes with their Columbus content on NCI. I'd bet most of the audience doesn't even know they are on outside of Central Ohio.

Who else on commercial Columbus FM music radio is NOT actually local? This is not a rhetorical question, but something I really wonder about. (We can exclude stations like WTDA and WODB where most of the air talent is obviously imported via the long-form syndicated programming.) I had already been thinking of starting a new thread with this question, but given the turn this thread has taken it seems like a logical place to ask.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

is WCOL live at nights? I thought their night show was VT'ed also.. We all know Sunny's running automated Deliah at night. QFM Live and local? CD101 I am sure is. "The Rock" too.. The River is llive and local at nights now since they ditched Tesh.

How about, say, 93.3, 105.7 and 106.7? I know that a lot of the air talent are obviously local people, like Joel Riley, Heather, Daveman and Laura Lee. But what about, say, Micki on the Brew?

Tesh lost his affiliate in Dayton as well on Hot AC WMMX about a month ago. He was replaced by a live, local jock, Brian Michaels. I won't miss him. ;D
