WNCI history

Does anyone know the history of WNCI, back when it was known as Stereo 98 or The Great 98? Was Stereo 98 a top-40 radio station back in the late 1960s though the '70s? Looking for promos, jingles, and airchecks from that era. I think TM Productions, Sweep Productions, and perhaps one or two other lesser-known jingle companies provided WNCI with jingle packages during the 1970s.

Here's an early aircheck from Bob Hawkins' DX site. 1970. http://46124.info/FM/Ohio/OH Columbus 97.9 1970 WNCI.mp3

One short break from 1977. http://46124.info/FM/Ohio/OH Columbus 97.9 1977 WNCI.mp3

I was living in Columbus up to 1975 when my family moved to Cincinnati. I listened to WNCI religiously from '73 to early '75.
I recorded spots off the air and the jingles and pretended I was on the station (of course I was only 13 at the time)... Unfortunately those tapes don't exist anymore. DARN!

I remember at that time, it was Stereo 98.... Stick it in your ear
They used a big voice TOH ID with Nationwide Communications in it
It had American Top40 on Sunday Mornings and Dr Demento on Sunday nights
I have a few of their weekly publications and will edit this reply with the links to my Google drive... I also have a lot of WCOL charts on line too from that time period that I will publish... I had a friend who would go to Buckeye Mart then Gold Circle on Henderson Road and get a hand full of charts every week.

Stay tuned...
