I thought WNCK was a one-for-one rebroadcast of WGBH? WGBH gives a legal ID for WNCK every hour with their own legal.
And according to the FCC's CDBS, Nantucket Public Radio, the license holder of WNCK, *does* hold the licenses for W230AW 93.9 in Centerville, W300BE 107.9 in Vineyard Haven, and W264BA 100.7 Harwich Port. All three translators' applications were indeed filed as having WNCK as their primary.
Oddly, though...I thought that for translators in the commercial band, the translator CANNOT be owned by the entity that holds the license of the station being translated. Nor can they receive any consideration for the translation, excepting for technical labor & equipment directly related to operation of the translator. So that might explain why they're translating WMVY instead of WNCK...but how did the applications get approved by the FCC in the first place?
