Is there any word on the status of this construction permit, owned by Raleigh's Capitol Broadcasting Company? It's currently licensed to Garysburg, but to move to Sharpsburg. Perhaps a simulcast of sport formatted "ESPN Radio 99.9 FM The Fan"?
I know one thing, according to the FCC file the location of the tower for the station is the same as WZAX's which surprised me when I checked the coordinates with a transmitter log sheet I have at home. Of course I am out of the loop since I work at Jammin' 993 only one day a week and no one tells me anything anymore for whatever reason.
