WNCT-AM's 6-tower directional array will soon be no more. Towers #1 and #6 were dropped today in a rather spectacular fashion. The array, long a familiar feature of the western Greenville skyline after dark, will be replaced by a 5-tower array short enough to not be painted or lit.

I'm going to miss those things.

Two more were dropped today, leaving only two. I guess they'll be gone
soon.
