WNDS to become WZMY-TV

I wouldn't be surprised if former WMUR-9 anchor (and current WGIR-610 talk-show host) Charlie Sherman pops-up as host of "My TV Prime".

He is a "name" that could attract viewers and sponsors. And increasingly, TV stations want "names".

The only other "name" that could draw viewers and sponsors is WNDS/WZMY's own Al Kaprielian, but I don't know if he'd be able to do double-duty, both hosting this show and doing the weather reports. But even if Al isn't named the main host, I do anticipate that he'll have a role on the show other than just the weather forecast.

This should be a fun station to watch, indeed. Finally, a station that will "talk" to the people, not dictate to them. I believe that this is the "Indy" that we've been waiting for, based upon many years of postings to these pages. With excellent cable coverage, I think they have a good chance of making it happen. I was very happy that the "Weather with Al" will still be on Channel 50. I'm glad that I filled out the questionaire. Al was one of the things I said MUST stay! I believe that many other viewers agreed!

That depends on whether or not his non-compete with WMUR has expired.

Would not surprise me at all.
