WNFN i106 HD Audio Quality

What's the deal with i106's HD audio? My Boston Receptor doesn't have a disable HD option so it's irritating when their HD signal comes in. If normal listening volume is at 15, then WNFN-HD has to be at 30+. If the HD signal disappears I have to grab the volume knob quick! Also, it's very empty sounding with NO bass. I believe this has been the case for over a year, it's just rarely that their HD signal comes in, so haven't noticed it. This has happened in several locations from 100 Oaks to Old Hickory. Their non-HD quality is fine (most of the time).

It's a flawed system from concept to implementation. Stick with analog! "Digital Radio is only a fragile mathematical approximation of an analog waveform, regardless of sampling speed and bit depth."
