WNGM, Hiawassee (New Station)

I noticed that the new station in Hiawassee was granted callsign WNGM on Jan 12.
Anyone know the status of this station? I believe it is or will be on 1230AM.

Gil and Bill Brown are the licensees. I'm sure Gil can answer all your questions.

Although I'm not in the 2mV/m contour (or even the .00002. Actually, I've got a 1230 in the building), It'd be nice if the BGRS (anybody know what I'm talkin' about?) returned to the airwaves.

It was quite nostalgic to hear Gil's voice, voice-tracking the classic country format, during the 1690 start-up.

Let's see...W-N-G-M? We're Nagging Gil Moor? How about We No Got Money? Okay, okay...I bet I know what it is. Do ya reckon it stands for Wonderful North Georgia Mountains?<P ID="signature">______________

WNGM used to be the call sign on TV channel 34 in Athens, before the station moved into Atlanta as "Hotlanta 34" WHOT, and later Univision WUVG.

As far as I know, WNGM stood for "Wonderful North Georgia Mountains".
