WNGS Buffalo

Years ago this station had a chance when it was briefly a UPN station, but now I hear it went silent earlier this year. Is it gone for good?

Don't count on it. Daystar bought the former Equity station and took it silent. They did the same with WNYI 52 Ithaca.

Given their investment in the stations, and the fact that they get stations in 2 new markets, it's a good bet Daystar will have both back on the air.

Didn't what was left of WNGS end up as a subchannel of WKBW?

WNGS had been RTV... which is now a sub of WGRZ.
