WNHV-AM Gone

According to w9wi.com and FCC records, WNHV-AM 910 in White River Junction has been deleted.

Wikipedia entry says (it) "became an affiliate of ESPN Radio. It was branded as The Score 910. It ceased its operations in May 2010 due to transmitter problems"
Prob not worth re-activating they figure. Started in '59

WNHV @ 910 had a great daytime signal. Another AM in the scrap heap along with WDCR, WHWB, and WIPS in the region..

Maybe now WGHM-AM 900 in Nashua could move to 910, thus removing the adjacent channel interference from WAGM-890 transmitting from Ashland, MA....boost daytime power and maybe nighttime too.

That's very possible, but not a big increase in power.... there's 910 in Bangor (5kw) to deal with too. But maybe worth it just to get away from 890. Those two clash around Chelmsford like no other clashes I've ever heard.

There's also a station at 910 just outside of Hartford. Still WNHV seems to have had a full 1K output days; 84 watts at night . WGHM is licensed with 910 watts days, 60 watts at night. Right now, Absolute has its hands full with WSMN.

Geez, I could've sworn that WTSV was also chopped. Radio-locator.com still has them up, though. Wouldn't be surprised if they decided to axe it someday soon. :-\

There was a tower site lease issue that contributed to the WNHV demise.

The WTSV transmitter site was vastly improved in the past year - new transmitter and serious building repairs (OK, that's generous. It was, after all, Bill Rust's chicken coup.)

WTSV is Nassau right? See other thread about Nassau problems, may go dark if only for a time

Awhile back I was on Rt 103 in Ludlow VT and I was picking up the same pre-season football game
on 1230 from two different signals, mixed (one prob WTSV the other maybe WJOY from Burl VT?).
One was slightly delayed behind the other

Nassau (as of now), has ESPN radio all to themselves in a market where WTSV only reaches maybe 15% of the total available audience.
