According to Duke, their engineer, on facebook, he wrote the following.
"WNJC officially signed off at 12 pm EST for the final time in Washington TWP, NJ. 28 years of my life went into this station. Thank you all for listening one last time."
But in a following post, he shared a photo of their TX and wrote "I am hoping this is not an end but a new beginning. The transmitter was relocated to Bridgeton, New Jersey. I am filing an STA along with hopefully a new construction permit. The transmitter is now located with WSNJ 1240 AM. Hopefully I can diplex them and put WNJC back on the air."
So it seems like WNJC may return to the airwaves at some point, I guess from the WSNJ site. Not sure at all what the format would be, but my guess is either the same spanish programmers or a WSNJ simulcast.
For now, here is an aircheck I took of WNJC back in 2017 if you want to relive it. This is from their 90s pop format. WNJC 1360 7/30/2017 aircheck : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
