WNKU BOOSTS NORTHERN SIGNAL

From cincinnati.com/Enquirer:

WNKU-FM (89.7) now brings its unique blend of folk, rock and blues to northern Cincinnati suburbs with a low-power repeater on FM 94.5 in West Chester Township.

The Northern Kentucky University station has had a very weak signal along the northern rim of Interstate 275 and in Butler County because of its proximity to Lakota High School's WLHS-FM (89.9). The new Port Union station reaches from Glendale north to the Butler County Veterans Highway (Ohio 129), serving growing West Chester, Fairfield and Liberty townships and northern Hamilton County.

WNKU's 94.5 translator sounds great from Oxford through Middletown, surprisingly, especially after WDKF's power increase. I can actually start listening again... I wonder if they have any plans for HD soon on either stick?

I think HD has a real future. Better than sat. in it's present form, anyway.
